PCORI Opportunity to Work With a Research Team

The Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI) has announced a new opportunity for patients, policymakers, clinicians, and other health care stakeholders to partner with a research team. The new PCOR Partner List will house contact information and areas of interest for volunteers who wish to work with researchers on PCORI-funded studies. The information will be shared with researchers who submit letters of intent in response to PCORI funding announcements (PFA).

PCORI is currently seeking submissions from stakeholders to work with researchers who intend to respond to the following PFAs: 1) pragmatic clinical studies and large sample trials to evaluate patient-centered outcomes, 2) effectiveness of transitional care, and 3) obesity treatment options set in primary care for underserved populations.

This is a good opportunity for employers, who are providing half of the funding for PCORI through a per-covered-life fee, to be involved in the work of the Institute and ensure that the employer voice is represented in PCORI-funded research.

More information about the PCOR Partner List and the declaration of interest form may be found on the PCORI website.
