National Retail Foundation Reminds HHS That Employers Need ACA Regulations to Prepare for 2014

The National Retail Foundation’s Neil Trautwein has a blog post today reminding HHS that businesses need actual regs on issues like exchanges and essential benefits. Otherwise, he writes, they won’t be able to get ready for 2014. “Serious attrition from the number of employer-sponsored plans is a real and distinct possibility, and one that should not be underestimated or overlooked,” Trautwein writes. “In this vacuum of regulatory uncertainty and unease, employers may have to restrict, reduce or even eliminate their health care plans (a no-win situation for employers and employees alike).”
