The Innovation Center at One Year: Much Progress, More to Be Done
One year ago, the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Innovation was launched to find new ways to reduce costs and improve quality. As the National Scorecard on U.S. Health System Performance released last month by the Commonwealth Fund's Commission on a High Performance Health System shows, health care in the United States is the most expensive in the world, and the quality of care available to many Americans does not match that high level of spending.
