PAVE – Program for Advancing Value-based Expenditures

The Delta Group announces the launch of PAVE – the Program for Advancing Value-based Expenditures – a new hospital reporting opportunity for NBCH member coalitions. The objective of this hospital quality initiative is to create a catalyst for multi-stakeholder community action to improve hospital quality and reduce costs.

An informational webinar will be held on August 18th, 2011 from 2-3PM EDT - click here for the registration link.

Using The Delta Group’s hospital datasets, with the CareChex and Care Tracks reporting tools, coalitions will produce a series of reports for a target community that rates hospital quality performance relative to the state and the entire nation. Prepared with profiles of hospital and comparisons of national norms and benchmarks, each coalition will have the resources to move forward in the Partnership for Patients initiative.

Combined with hospital utilization performance they will be able to establish a dialogue with hospitals about the value of services being purchased. The reports will also support employer and consumer decision-making. A rolling application process will be used to determine participating coalitions, and there is no limit to qualified coalitions that can participate.

An informational webinar will be held on August 18th, 2011 from 2-3PM EDT - click here for the registration link.
